Please note that these scissors are rustic & hand forged in India in a small workshop so each pair of scissors is unique. The company we purchase the scissors from picks them up in India and brings them back with them to Canada, so they have traveled a long way to reach our customers. Jane has strong ties to India and enjoys supporting these artisans. The box the scissors come in is a bit worn and tied with a string and the scissors are delivered with oil on them to protect the brass from moisture, which can be wiped off before use.
