Pattern Usage Policy

We are delighted to see our patterns woven, enjoyed, and brought to life on looms around the world. To ensure our work is respected and used appropriately, please review the following guidelines.

✔️ Permitted Use

  • JST patterns are for personal use and for creating finished woven items.
  • You may sell finished items woven from JST patterns provided full credit is given to Jane Stafford Textiles (JST) in the product description, label, or accompanying materials.

Prohibited Use

  • Do not resell, share, distribute, copy, or reproduce JST patterns in any format, including digital, printed, or photographed versions.
  • Do not use JST patterns for manufacturing, mass production, or factory-style production.
  • Do not use JST patterns for workshops, classes, teaching materials, guild programs, or demonstrations without explicit permission from Jane Stafford Textiles.
  • JST patterns may not be included in pattern bundles, subscription services, or teaching handouts.

Teaching & Educational Use

We love education — it’s at the heart of what we do!
If you would like to use a JST pattern for teaching or workshops:

  • Written permission is required in advance.
  • Full credit to Jane Stafford Textiles must be clearly stated.
  • Additional licensing fees may apply.
