Our Registration Process
Our classes have become so popular over the last 8 years that we have had to implement a system that honours our alumni but also welcomes first time participants.
- Students are limited to participating in one workshop per calendar year. Students can be placed on as many wait lists as they like, but once you are placed into a workshop, your name is removed from all wait lists. Wait lists close after the workshop runs and are limited to only 10 names.
- We will fill half of the available spaces with people already on the wait list.
- We will then fill the balance of the class spaces on a first-come, first-served basis when we open registration to the general public in October. If you would like to be one of the first to know, we suggest you join our mailing list, which you can do here.
Please remember, registration is by phone only.
Cost: $850 for tuition and all materials, a gourmet lunch, coffee, tea and irresistible goodies. We pre-warp your looms, provide a binder of patterns and you go home with all your wonderful samples.
Maximum class size is ten students.

Policies and Fine Print
Suitability and Weaving Ability
At this time, our workshops are not suitable for the absolute beginner. You must know your way around a loom, be able to warp your own loom and be somewhat able to read drafts to participate. If you are unsure of what level you are weaving at, Jane can discuss this with you. We want to make sure that your experience is as rich and rewarding as possible. Additionally, we are not able to accommodate strict dietary restrictions. We eat communally at lunch and can accommodate vegetarians easily. You are free to bring your own lunch if your diet requires it; for example, anaphylactic, caeliac etc.
Workshop Deposit and Payment Fees
At time of registration, a non-refundable deposit of $350.00 is required. The balance of the workshop fee is due 60 days prior to the first day of the session.
Workshop Cancellation Policy
JST makes a substantial investment when planning a class and vacancies can be hard to fill even when there is a waiting list. All workshop deposits are non-refundable. Balance of the workshop fee is due 60 days prior to the start of each course. Cancellations received 60 days or less before the beginning of a class, will be refunded only if we can fill your spot.
If the workshop is cancelled for any reason by Jane Stafford Textiles, all fees will be refunded. Jane Stafford Textiles cannot be responsible for non-refundable travel or accommodation costs.
In the past, we have provided Farm Stay as an option for some of our weavers. In recent years we have had many challenges with our water supply, and this has made it untenable for us to continue to house dozens of guests throughout the summer. We have partnered with Green Acres Resort just down the road to provide accommodation options for workshop participants. We also have some great recommendations elsewhere on the island. We will help those of you who are registered for workshops through this transition.
