I have a question about when you brake your bobbin with your ring finger, once you have thrown the shuttle. Do you brake it so that the thread stops at the selvedge where you threw from? Does that make sense?
Yes, when it hits the selvedge. Sometimes it is a full break, sometimes it is just drag on the bobbin…you will find this handy to control the selvedge. Play around with it, it isn’t an absolute :)…..it is like playing the piano softly or with conviction. Every warp is different depending on the yarn and weave structure and therefore, draw-in so that is why you need to observe it and be playful with it :).
