I didn’t notice this on my smaller David, but the springs on the David 90 sure do ‘twang’ loudly when I treadle.  Is there a reason/fix for this? I did look and saw that they were sort of bunched together toward one side so I slid them over a wee bit so they weren’t touching each other… but still getting a wide movement and ‘TWANNNGGG”!
I would try the little plastic spacers in the texsolv if you have them.  If you don’t have them try to move the hook from the spring one hole further on the texsolv cord.  That should take out any slack that might be causing the twang.
