I just used this winder for the first time. I had been using my husbands old cordless drill with variable speed which was dandy. This one is so fast, my first bobbin didn’t release well when throwing the shuttle. Is there a way to control the speed to slow it down a bit?
When I teach weavers how to use the bobbin winder we do the following. They start with a bare foot. I get them to place their whole foot on the pedal, kind of grabbing the high end with their toes. They then start playing with the pedal without a bobbin on it so they learn to control the speed. You will find it easy to explore the feeling and speed. Once you feel you have it under control, then put the bobbin on and you’ll be golden.
