I am a very new weaver so this may be a silly question…I understand beating on an open shed, but is there a particular reason for changing the shed before putting the beater back? I have a table loom and in order to change the shed I’m going to have to let go of either the shuttle or the beater. Thanks!
Not a silly question. Sometimes when you change the shed, warp threads can stick so if you bring your beater back after you have changed your shed it will clear possible stickiness. It is really easy to do this on the floor loom, not as easy on a table loom. Hope this helps
