The penny has dropped. I’ve got it at last. Thanks for your patience.2
Sandra I tied up my Louet David 12 32 34 14. I now have a feeling my cloth is woven right side down. I thought that since Jane was using Louet and singing these numbers for us I was correct for a sinking shed. Now I’m in doubt. Please can you clarify so I’ll be weaving my cloth with the pattern in front of me for the large threadings coming next.
Should I have tied up 34 14 12 23 ?0
Just the regular buttons across the top nothing that looks like a post it note 🤔00
Got a profile photo though so win win 🙌 thanks for your guidance1
So sorry Sandra still nothing remotely like a yellow sticky note. I wonder if the iPad displays things in an abbreviated format.0
Sorry to be dense but I still cannot find this FAQ section above my post. Thanks for actually posting the instructions and I’ll follow those.0
I used what I had on hand to use all the things I’ve learnt to date for this Rosepath scarf. Sorry the image is sideways.3April 15, 2020 at 10:17 am in reply to: David help beater in top position. Warp still not touching shuttle race #162348
Thanks so much for the photos. Still some detective work for me to do to improve the top of the shed but at least I am operational now.
I appreciate the help from both you and Sandra so much. What a wonderful warm and comforting place this is to be in the current extreme situation we all find ourselves.
keep safe and keep weaving ❤️2April 15, 2020 at 7:30 am in reply to: David help beater in top position. Warp still not touching shuttle race #162329
Hello I’m glad I’m not alone in finding this so difficult. I moved the lamm cords to the second hole so they are tighter and pull the shafts down by about 2cm.2April 15, 2020 at 1:21 am in reply to: David help beater in top position. Warp still not touching shuttle race #162314
This is looking more optimistic. The result of moving the lamm cords in the bottom hooks of the shafts to the second holes. The bottom of the shed is just about flush with the race. Also moving the beater down.3April 14, 2020 at 11:49 pm in reply to: David help beater in top position. Warp still not touching shuttle race #162309
Crumbs it’s a brand new loom I hope not to be drilling anything! Thanks for the photos. Everything I have looks the same apart from the bottom of my shed is too raised. It’s very helpful to be able to compare other David set ups.0
