I live in Smoky Lake, Alberta now. It is a fibre 'black hole' with no one doing much except a few knitters and crocheters. I've done demos for the past two years at our local museum for our October Pumpkin Fair: handspinning, weaving and next year I'll do circular sock machine knitting. I'm very DIY and I've refurbed many antique spinning wheels, my CSM (now I know why the refurbed ones cost so much!) and recently made a sectional beam for my loom. I'm one of those annoying people that tends to do a decent job of nearly every craft I try but I get bored quickly and move on. But I think weaving is going to be my rabbit hole! I love the math and symmetry and working out Excel spreadsheets almost as much as the weaving!
