OMG you must have been weaving day & night! It is beautiful and the photos are a brilliant idea!

So you find the end of the monofilament (at the end of the scarf) and just pull it out? It doesn’t make the rest of the scarf pucker as you are pulling it out?

Thanks for the photo – looks like a terrific idea!

Ed, I am intrigued! How do you remove the monofilament thread after taking the work from the loom? (I also love weaving with tencel).

Never mind – I found the list. I had never noticed it before. Thank you for sending me the link though!

Thank you for the link to this list. I had not seen this page (Online Guild Season 3 Yarn List) before! Where is it in the categories on the website so I can find it again?

Actually that brings up a question about the kits. I have been checking every so often to see what the yarn will be for the doubleweave episode coming next but have not seen anything about it – or any of the project yarns for episodes 7 and beyond. I’ve been thinking that I need to check my stash or order yarns for episode 7 but I don’t know what yarns will be used. If I am going to order the kits I’d like to order more than 1 at a time to save a little on postage to the US.

Please let me know if I am not checking the right place on the website – so far I have been clicking on “Online Guild” then “Buy Season 3 kits”.

I had exactly the same thing happen to me recently when weaving a Krokbragd rug. I treated it the same as a regular broken warp. Since I discovered it pretty quickly I just wove for a few inches without the broken selvedge threads and then when I had enough of the selvedge warp threads to pull forward I attached them with a pin and then kept on weaving. I wove in the ends when off the loom. Admittedly there was a noticeable wobble on the selvedge edge at this place in the rug when I took it off the loom, though. My teacher told me the reason it happened was because I was not advancing the temple as frequently as I should have (and yes I definitely needed a temple for this project) and I was not bubbling the weft enough. Once I started doing these 2 things as I should I did not have any more broken selvedge threads.

Was printing off the pdf today and noticed that the pages are numbered to page 6 (well the last 3 pages are numbered 4,5, 6 and the first pages are not numbered), however only 5 pages printed. I did print it as “fit it to page” as suggested in a previous posting and got all the examples (1-17) in one page. Just want to clarify that once doing this one is printing pages 2 and 3 as this 1 page???

I can’t seem to find the place to log out (in the new website format). I have just kept myself logged in since the new website was launched but I don’t really like to do this and would prefer to be able to log out. Is there somewhere to do this?

Great – The pages printed out perfectly this time!

I am excited to start the log cabin exercise but I think there is something wrong with the pdf. When I went to print it there were problems – last page is numbered 6 but only 4 printed out. The 2 middle pages were peculiar – printed horizontally and overlayed with what seems like another page on each of them!

Yess – looks pretty but it took me awhile to find the forum – it seems to be kind of buried. Also, I do not understand why web creators are using such light fonts all the time. It is really hard to read things on the website (just take a look at the table to the right of this comment box). Please see if you can change all the pale font to a black font so some of us older folks with less than perfect eyesight can read it!

Thank you for the idea about checking the hardware store for steel rods – for some reason it didn’t occur to me that these would be in hardware stores! I’ll have to check my local store.
