Very nice colours and pattern! I see you are using a Jane loom. I have been thinking of getting the new 50cm size but not sure yet. I want something that will still be portable enough but worry the 40cm is a bit small. May I ask what size your loom is?

Your towels are lovely! The colour and weave gamp is my favourite gamp to date. So much to explore. I want to go back and weave a set of C&W towels with cottolin, my favourite towel yarn.

What a fantastic weaving year this has been! So many different ways to use plain weave. As a ‘toddler’ weaver I really appreciated using different yarns from fine silks and linen to mop cotton and wools. So excited to get started with Twill next year! Also glad to know we won’t be leaving PW entirely behind us. Thank you Jane and your amazing team!

Hi Sandra, I share your colour preferences to be more subtle and jewel toned…the quieter cousins. 😊 So much so that I opted not to complete the Parrot samples, even though there is so much to learn here. I really struggle with wearing and especially combining bright colours.

Hi Susan, as it happens I started a different project and have not tackled double weave as of yet. I didn’t get a response but I seem to recollect hearing that you don’t hemstitch but just fringe twist? It would be nice to know going forward. Any suggestions would be great!

Sandra, love that pattern. Simplistic, yet sophisticated! 😊

Your scarves are lovely. The Tsumugi silk is really beautiful.

Beautiful! You would never have guessed they all came from the same warp as the colours are so different! I’ll have to give Tencel a go and try your tip!

I am wondering how hemstitching would be done with the two layers. Is it possible to do them separately while on the loom? Perhaps when I get the loom warped this will become clear to me but at the moment it is holding me back until I can wrap my head around it! Thanks!

                              Hi Keri,
I have a Leclerc Fanny and every once in awhile I experience the same problem.
I have found that the tension on the brake is not always tight enough. I have put a turnbuckle on the brake (through the hook on the brake peddle at the front then attach the rope to the other end of buckle that goes to an S hook under the metal coil that is attached to the spring) so when it happens I can just tighten it up a bit and be on my way.

                              Hope this helps!
