I used the asymmetry pattern and wove a tea towel for our ATV club using the club colors . The blue looks quite dark in the picture but really is more of a royal blue than navy. IMG_2441 (2)

IMG_2427 (2)IMG_2427 (2)Enjoyed the session and decided I could try breaking  out from the same old same old and  be more creative. I was planning a baby blanket with a friend who had chosen salmon pink and turquoise for the blanket. She suggested equal 3inch stripes of the 2 colors. After watching the session I made up a sketch  of the blanket using Fibonacci numbers to do unequal stripes instead. Starting with turquoise woven in a chevron pattern  at one end with an 8 inch stripe then a 2  inch stripe of the pink woven in a goose eye pattern. Across the blanket the turquoise stripes decreased- 5inch,3inch and then finishing with a 2 inch. The pink increased- 3inch , 5 inch then ended with an eight inch. The stripes were separated by a one inch stripe of natural . My friend was willing to give it a try and it turned out quite nice. Certainly different from anything I had tried before.( sorry for the 2 pictures- my first attempt at inserting a picture and it came through twice- not sure how to delete one)

My question is regarding the Jane loom.  When using the stand is  it necessary  to move the beams down onto the stand . I use the loom on the stand in my home but I am often needing to fold it for transport as I like to take it camping and boating and there is no room for the stand. I use it on a table when travelling. Jennifer

I have checked out the helpline- very interesting and helpful but not sure how one asks questions that are not covered.

Thanks Jane lots of good tips to improve the threading experience. If I can get them to work on my loom my back will be thanking you. I also like the idea of using the texsol cord to tie the rod in place- has solved one of my minor irritations on my loom. Now headed to the loom to try out the rest of the ideas.
