Thank you Jane and your Dream Team for keeping going during these difficult times.  Being from the UK I stayed up late every evening during the weeks you were weaving the Lockdown Towels.  I look forward every month in anticipation to your lessons.  I recommend your Guild to every Weaver, experienced or beginner, they could do no better than to join.  Now into our third Lockdown, I thank goodness that we have our craft to keep uplifted.  THANK YOU 😊 7B3E9035-56CA-43C6-A0F0-D135EFE045646887B242-5232-497F-853A-01A17C36062C

Absolutely beautiful and inspiring, thank you.  Could you say which loom width was used for the baby blankets. xx

Your back beam looks correct.  These are photos of my front beam.

Hi Keri,  Anne Dixon’s Book the drafts are read from bottom up –  although I hadn’t realised this for 2 years when a friend pointed it out to me🥴.  I follow Jane’s advice when making my own drafts, but you need to be flexible and check what method authors have used.  Top down or bottom up!  It’s not right and it’s not wrong – just different.  X

I’m pretty certain that it is the Louet David 2.  I have the same loom, it’s a sinking shed loom and I love it.

Really interesting and inspiring episode. What a revelation ‘splicing’ is. I’m a bit critical about my finishing and this lesson has been the answer to one of my problem areas. Thank you

Really enjoyed this episode.  I used 2/16 cotton for both warp and weft in two shades of blue from my stash.  I will look out for linen that Jane uses, but I couldn’t easily source it in the UK.  Since taking this photograph, I have twisted the fringe which gives it a much nicer finish.  Woven on my Louet David 2 and I didn’t have any tension issues as I only warped enough for a sample and the scarf.  6E99573C-A6E3-42B3-8CEF-A5AFC8DAB06B3063A7D3-66AF-4117-8A38-8F0E548624EA

I am also looking for an alternative as I haven’t seen it for sale in the UK.

                          Good morning Patricia,

I don’t have the brake handle as the instructions describe.  I attach a photo.

                          51323297-92A2-4946-9AAD-27F740A0703F

The beater bar you can see the photo of where I have mine.  When you have a warp on and open the shed, the warps threads hat are down should be close to the shuttle rail.  I tried to replicate Jane’s episode on the David loom.

I tie on cords (as photo) thread through the lease sticks and attach to the hooks.  I can slide them up and down as needed then while dressing the loom.  They are attached to the top of the loom by elastic band around the raddle.  Not ideal, but I would be interested in any advice.

I would be interested to here how other David owners have set their looms set up.  It is a great loom 😊

                          Happy weaving, Jacqueline

Brilliant as always, my mind is buzzing as to how I can use up my bits and pieces of stash once I’ve woven the sample . Jane you are so easy to listen to and watch.

Brilliant video once again. Love the clasp weft ideas, my mind is buzzing with all the ideas, just need to buy some more yarn!

I have placed small squares of masking tape with the weaving/warping sequence on the appropriate sections.🇬🇧

Loved weaving this sample gamp.  There are a couple of errors, but heh ho it’s a sample🤪
