I’ve been looking around for the start date of Season 4 can someone say please
I thought it was just me. I’m loving my new loom but he didn’t come with any instructions other then assembly
On hard fast lesson, always keep extra heddles on the edges of the harness since they actually serve as part of the harness system and will collapse if you move them all away from the edge
Thank you 🙂
I ready every post here and over on the 8-shaft FB group. I’ve been studying the David for over a year now and two weeks ago pulled the trigger and purchased the 35″. I’m so looking forward to him arriving. My email says he should ship the end of November. Until then I will keep plugging away on my Jane tableloom
I absolutely over your choice of colors!
I posted in another location but will ask here too. I’m using a Jane table loom and everything works perfect for a double weave right up until the project comes across the cloth beam and it reaches the take up roller soon as that happens I completely loose tension on the bottom half so I struggled only for a few more rows and have to give up. I tried it twice and with exact same results. any ideas? once wet finished it looks fine but very disturbing about the sloppyness of the bottom halfOctober 6, 2019 at 6:55 am in reply to: Thoughts on 3.7.2 – Weaving Double Width at the Loom #155969
This season I’m weaving on a Jane Table loom. I’m having an issue with my bottom layer. the tension is even, everything is great and start weaving.. soon as the weaving goes across the cloth beam I loose bottom layer tension and suddenly it moves forward of the top layer. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m using a table loom ? I’ve been using my Jane for all the projects to date with no issues, this is the first time. I cut the small sample off, tied up again to make the shawl and the same issue, soon as the weaving came across the cloth beam I lost tension on the bottom half . after wet finishing everything appeared to be fine so I’m slightly confusedSeptember 30, 2019 at 4:39 pm in reply to: Thoughts on 3.7.2 – Weaving Double Width at the Loom #155964
when a person is done with the project do you end on the top/ 1st -shaft 1?September 23, 2019 at 8:54 am in reply to: Thoughts on 3.7.4 – Reviewing Threading and Fulling – Double Width, Double Layers #155998
What notes? You mentioned making our note clear..
Loved this episode like all the past ones, you really are a great teacher
Yes it does! Thank you so much. I though it should but my OCD -matchy,matchy. Was getting the better of me. Did I miss this explanation in season 1 ? Just for future reference
I’m stuck for some reason. If the outside threads are 108 then that is 27 groups of 4. threaded 1,2,3,4 but the middle is 114 threads- it can’t be threaded 1,2,3,4 and come out even. my full warp end on will not end in a group of four, what am I missing. I’ve been struggling and counting and recounting all day.
114 divided by 4 (1,2,3,4) is 28 with a remainder of 2…
does any of this make sense ?March 5, 2019 at 10:32 pm in reply to: Thoughts on 3.2.1 – Introduction to Cramming & Denting #156171
how did this work for you? I also own a Jane loom and just love it. I’m playing catch up from last year while trying to do this season. The denting was loads of fun
Oh my gosh! You are an inspiration to me. so lovely
MQX – I love your colors and looking forward to the finished pieces
