Hi Liz, what Sandra said,
I measured the length I needed 28″ went to the local hardware store and purchased a rod with the BLUE colored dot on the end. I asked if they could cut it to 28″ which the were kind enough to do with their pipe cutter. My husband ground the rough edges smooth and I wiped the rod down with warm soapy water. I hope this helps

This may be a double post as I’m not sure what happened to the first one. I use a USB sticky backed light strip. When weaving I just plug it into a “juice pack” as I’m always moving my loom around the room.

what do you mean by adjusting blocks?
Is that the book about knitting comfortably?

My third time watching with lots of notes. I’m now ready to move on to weaving
the Pattern calls for a 12 dent reed w/ 3 per dent but in the demo looks like Jane is using a 6 dent reed? so would that be 6 threads per dent and hemstitching 12 threads? I know it’s all personal choice but just wondering
If you go to her FB page she just finished an 8 shaft warp doing this in the last few towels I’m fairly sure

I just took my latest project off the loom yesterday but plan on dressing the JST season 4 Lesson 3 twill gamp tomorrow and will look closely at where my warp threads sit. and take a photos to add to this thread. I’ve been having problems with missing the floating selvage

Warp still not touching shuttle race #162326I own a New David too, and this whole thread is very interesting so could I please impose on you to add new photos of what you changed to have the threads flat on the race now. P-l-e-a-s-e I’d so grateful
February 24, 2020 at 7:29 am in reply to: Thoughts on 4.1.1 – Introduction to Twill and Simple Two Stripe Sample #155547I’ve never done twill so I thought it was a wonderful introduction, I ended up saving all the samples for myself and future reference

February 10, 2020 at 12:36 pm in reply to: Episode 1 – Introduction to Twills & Simple Two Stripe Sample #154287that is also the way I do it on my table loom but just wanted to confirm. I really do love how that outside the basic laws of weaving the “rules” are pretty flexible
February 8, 2020 at 12:04 pm in reply to: Episode 1 – Introduction to Twills & Simple Two Stripe Sample #154144I have finished all the 2/2 twill samples and am ready to start the 3/1 & 1/3 samples on my David, the question I have is as I’m watching Jane weave the first set of stripes @ 55 minutes in it appears she is going over the float selvage during the 1/2/3 – 2/3/4 – etc set. Is this correct or does it matter??

thank you, I knew it had to be someplace simple. I was trying to decide if I can get a project done and still be ready for the first lesson
