Warping multiple setts

I am loving the lace weave classes, but my son’s partner really wants a blanket for her birthday.  As I have a 4-harness loom and want to use double weave, I’ll be using plain weave.  I’d like to alternate columns and rows  of Monte Cristo with columns of 4/8 cotton.  Would it be correct to sley the 4/8 columns  at 10 epi and the Monte Cristo columns at 8 epi?

You’d be fine with those setts per layer – don’t forget to double your sett 8 epi x 2 = 16 epi when you are planning your warp.
