so if a pattern repeats over 8 threads do we need an 8 shaft loom? There is a pattern I am trying to figure out how to do on a 4 shaft loom but suspect i need 8 shafts.

Hi Katie,
It depends…You can have an 8 thread repeat on a 4 shaft pattern. The patterns usually state if it’s for a 4 or 8 shaft loom. Do you have any more info on this pattern that we can help you determine if it’s 4 or 8 shafts?
