OMGoodness–every page I looked at with a photo in both a travel and a fashion magazine had elements of the components of Graphics and Colour that you’ve described! How did I not realize all that before? Thanks for having such a straightforward way to organize those design components!

I am watching this episode at home with my limited and slow data. Usually I have to go to the library or somewhere with good wifi. I am getting a disconnect between the video and audio (one lags behind the other). Is this what everyone sees?

Thank you!
Colors have always been difficult for me to choose in what I wear, knit or decorate my home with. This was so very helpful. I can’t help but think that Pictures of Birds could provide a great source for color inspiration. I think I may try to create boards for graphics and colors using Pinterest to start. -

Colour for me has always been emotional and I mostly like colours from nature. A few years ago I took over a large room in my house for my weaving and spinning. The walls were, at that time, painted that typical eggshell, so, of course, I wanted to change that. I had always thought that I disliked pink, but had noticed that at a certain time in the day, the light through the window gave the room a rosy glow. I tried out paint chips and painted samples until I got something that replicated that rosy glow because it made me feel happy and contented. Now every time I go to weave, the room itself feels welcoming and peaceful.

You’ve showed me how to look at pictures in a whole new way. I’ve always been attracted to color, but now I find myself saying phrases like, “Division of space in threes” and “There’s the zinger”! What an exciting mindset transformation.

I can’t wait to use these principles! I have always been fascinated with color, but never had any formal education on the color wheel; since my daughter gifted me one for Christmas a couple years ago, I have been able to gradually “see” color and why some combinations work and others don’t as well. I love the idea of clipping photos and using them in a totally “new” way. This all gets my heart beating and mind working overtime just soaking it in. Thank you!

It is bad enough that every fabric I see, i see a pattern. Now i am finished. I will have to walk around with my eyes closed. Went into the fruit dept. at my grocery store…OMGoodness, I had never noticed all the degrees of color. It is your fault Jane.😅😅😅😅😅
