I know Jane has talked in both Season 1 and 2 about warping with more than 1 thread in your hand but my question is: how do you place those threads on the loom?  For example, if I were to warp using 2 threads – blue, green, blue, green, blue green for my warp, my lease sticks would have 2 threads -blue and green in the top, and a blue and green in the bottom.  So do I put the top blue and green threads thru their separate heddles, then the bottom blue and green threads thru the heddles in that order?  Will it make a difference to my pattern?

Hi Mandi, you follow your warping sequence when you thread your heddles.  If you are warping two colours in your warp at a time, I’m assuming you are alternating your two colours throughout that section of your warp. If your pattern calls for them to alternate – you do as you suggested. If your pattern calls for 2 blues, 2 greens, etc. you can switch them around them in your little group of 2 but no further or you will end up with a tangle.

Thanks for that!  Yes, the pattern calls for them to alternate so thought I’d double check
