When I purchased a second hand loom last year it came with many extras (aren’t I the lucky one?). Some of those things being metric reeds. On the reed itself it says either, 2, 3, 4 or 6. I’m so new to weaving that I have no idea what this might mean or how to use them instead of the 6, 10 and 12 dent reed that also came with the loom. Do you have any suggestions as to where I might find information about using the metric reeds?
I would take those reeds and count the dents in an inch. Then mark them with a piece of masking tape. They will be very close to what we use all the time. I have metric reeds and they might be one dent difference over 2 or 3 inches, but that won’t make a difference to the cloth.
