Hi Kids,
Before I turn your weaving world towards laces, I really want to say thank you to all of you who have supported my dream of being able to reach out to more weavers than I could ever fit in my Studio. Some of you stepped into my world at the very first episode and others have joined us along the way. Every one of you has helped me continue my love of teaching and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I hope the episodes have brought some focus and relief during this extremely difficult year.
And now it’s that time of year again….time for a wee snippet detailing our programme for 2021. I’ve spent the last 6 months preparing for our upcoming season on Lace and we have the first 5 episodes completed. Once again, I worked with my Dream Team who wove spectacular examples of the ideas presented in the episodes. The Show and Tells are incredible this year.
Before we dive into Lace we will do one more episode on Twills….I just had to tell you about Turned Twill which is one of my favourite weave structures. Then we’ll tackle Canvas Weave, Huck, Huck with Colour and Weave effects, Bronson Spot, Atwater Bronson Lace, Blended Lace and how we can get Lace and Twills all in one piece.
I hope you enjoy our little trailer,
Stay Safe kids.
Sending tons of love,
Jane

Hi Jane 🙂
Just wanted to say how grateful I am to have access to so much wonderfulness!! My weaving has improved a thousand fold. I am thoroughly enjoying every bit – this is the best value for money I have ever spent!! You make me smile and giggle and your encouragement is awesome. Am going to start with twills now and am sooo excited that the next one is laces.
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and the very best wishes for everyone there for 2021.
Thank you again.
Jeanine
Hi Jane – I think we are all just as grateful to have you as you are to have us! 🙂 I absolutely LOVE the classes. My weaving has grown by leaps and bounds and I have learned so much more than I ever would have on my own. I have had so much fun weaving everything and then venturing out on my own with the what ifs and how might I do that. All of my family, friends and staff are grateful too. Haha! Everyone received beautiful handwoven items for Christmas and they were defiantly a bright spot in gift giving. So, just so you know, you have touched so many more peoples lives than just your students. 🙂 🙂 🙂
Happy New Year! Elysa
Hi Elysa,
I believe the Guild and these classes are the best thing ever too!
My husband and I give handwoven gifts at Christmas too. They are usually something small that nobody is uncomfortable accepting. Last year everyone received face washers. This year it will be hand towels. We give them to our doctor and osteopath and those who have helped us throughout the year, as well as friends.
I am also so grateful to Jane and the staff for being a shining light.
I am looking forward to grow more and more in this new year, thank you for sharing your knowledge, May God bless all weavers, Happy New Year to you and staff Gisèle
Hi Jane,
Sooo looking forward to another year of the Guild and especially the upcoming season on lace! I have already done some scarves using Huck lace, but am so looking forward to learning other lace techniques as well.
Everyone loved the handwoven face washers I made as presents. This year the presents will be hand towels. These are all small things that can be given to quite a few friends and people who have helped us throughout the year.
At present I am weaving a curtain for our craft room (we call it “the studio”) using denting. I’ve never used this technique before and love it! So much to learn and so little time!
Hope you all had a lovely Christmas and have a very happy New Year. Dayamitra XXXX
Have you ever thought about putting your lessons for the online guild on DVD or thumbdrive and offer them for sale. I am enrolled in the guild, but because of very slow internet, it can be very annoying to have to deal with buffering quite often. I for one would appreciate them on something I can hold in my hand. Thanks, Joyce
