Exciting News From Louet

Have you ever dreamt about being a production weaver and/or creating multi-shaft complex structures? Your dreams can come true on Louet’s “top-of-the-line” Megado Dobby loom! Louet’s New Inkle Loom!

With an Inkle loom, you can create the perfect finishing touch on your handwoven tea towels – matching handing tabs. Or… you can create unique shoe laces, stunning straps for the bag you’ve always wanted to weave, or treasured bookmarks to share with family/friends. The possibilities are endless! 

The Louet Inkle loom is available in 2 sizes (Small & Large) The small inkle loom holds a warp of 76″ and the large inkle loom holds a warp of 114″.

Sassy Brassy Log Cabin

The Sassy Brassy towel kit has a striking contrast between the vibrant check pattern and the symmetrical framed log cabin weave in dark and light colours.

Sassy Brassy was designed and woven by Kathy Ready of Victoria, B.C.

Picnic Basket

These lovely towels combine two colours of our 16/2 organic Linen in a warp threaded for 2/2 twill with accent stripes of basket weave. Half of the towels are woven using this same linen for the weft and the other half using Cottolin. The Linen/Linen towels are super crisp while the Linen/Cottolin towels are a little softer. Both are stunning. Crisp and absorbent in classic colours, these towels will add a breezy, summery vibe to any kitchen.

Our original Rustic Elegance towel kit  were woven using Venne’s beautiful organic 16/2 linen. The linen lends these towels a perfect blend of rustic and modern elegance, perfect for your minimalist decor.

Huckleberry Waffle in Spring

The colours, the texture, the pattern…WE LOVE IT! Jane has written the pattern describing the design process and it includes all the tie-ups and treadling sequences to create some pretty wonderful patterning. These towels are all woven in organic 8/2 Venne cotton.

Organic Stripes

This towel kit is made entirely of organic cotton. Using organic cotton is a great way to begin supporting yarns that are respectful of the earth and the farmers that grow them. The kit is available in Spring Stripes and Easter Stripes colourways.
