Our Summer Scarf Kits

It’s that time of year when outdoor celebrations become part of our lives. Weddings, visits to far away families, or maybe a long-wished-for trip to a different part of our world. There is something magical about having a handwoven scarf ready to add a layer of elegance to an outfit for a special occasion. If you’re travelling, a scarf takes up very little room in your suitcase as it waits to dress up an everyday outfit for a night on the town.

From Our Inbox

PK Maracin has been weaving away in New Zealand and has sent us photos of her fabulous new creations woven with our 40/2 linen….. She wanted to explore the possibilities for 40/2 shawls and her results are stunning!

The first shawl is based on Season 2 Episode 5 using Parrot colours and Episode 2 – Asymmetry & Division of Space. A simple but stunning result using 5 tiles layered with stripes & blocks!

This delightful shawl was woven in Green Tea and Blue Fin. Instead of hemstitching, she crammed 10 picks together to secure the beginning and end.

This shawl was woven in plain weave layered with colour and weave elements using different bands of colour. (Her warp was Cream and layered with Fire Red and English Rose as well as Ginger and Green Tea).
