I have inherited a Hollandia 53″ and I am working my way through getting more comfortable with it. After watching your video of warping the Spring loom I have realized there is a raddle same as the built-in Spring but for the life of me I can’t figure out how it is attached, I presume […]
I am having problems with the cable brake on my Hollandia – when I set on the brake pedal the tension does not release smoothly and sometimes gets stuck. I have had this loom for many years and the brake problem is a recent development. I have checked the loom manual and do have the […]
I have inherited an Hollandia, just threading up my first warp. I have run out of heddles on shaft 3. How do I remove the heddles to borrow heddles from another shaft? Before you move your heddles you might want to put 4 twist ties on the heddles you are moving to preserve their […]
I was wondering if you know anyone with a Louet Hollandia shelf and/or raddle that is for sale? Sorry, but I don’t know of any Hollandia shelves or raddles for sale but I do know that they are no longer available from Louet.
Should the Hollandia loom have a cloth front beam or just a rod? The Hollandia should have a wooden flat rod (really a sturdy piece of polished wood) and it has a texsolv cord apron. Here are two pictures of what mine looks like: Hope this helps.
Help Jane! I have warped the Hollandia loom for the first time. I am having trouble with the compensation device. When we get the wooden things parallel it slips and goes forward towards the loom. The tension is still on the warp. Any suggestions? That means one of 2 things….either your warp beam is slipping […]
Looking at a tie-up plan, how can I tell if it’s for a Jack Loom or otherwise? With the Hollandia or other similar looms, do the short ties represent the marked shaft in the tie up drawing? Usually the tie-up box has either an x or an o. If it has an x it is […]

I’ve just finished warping my new to me Hollandia. I already have a 45” Hollandia, so I’m pretty familiar with warping them. When I open the shed, I’m ending up with some of the upper threads dropping lower than the others and some of the lower ones popping higher than the others. It’s a bloody […]
Here are some photos to show you what you will have when your loom is fine tuned. The first few shots are of the loom with the blocking pin in so you can see where things should be when the loom is in neutral. The warp should be coming through the reed somewhat in the […]
